The Hipshaker Lounge is back at the Isle of Wight Festival for 2024!
In the Hipshaker Lounge you’ll hear a hip soundtrack of Funk, Soul, Disco, Ska, Reggae, Indie, Punk, New Wave, Britpop, Rock, Motown and more from the ‘60s, ‘70s and beyond … all served up by our great line-up of bands and DJs.
It’s a groovy, funky, hip party venue specialising in all things vintage …. for all of the day and all of the night.
During the day there are dance classes, bands and DJs but it’s also a cool meeting place, where you can enjoy drinks with friends while listening to some of the greatest music ever made.
At night the the emphasis is on dancing with both DJs and bands packing the Hipshaker Lounge and cranking up the atmosphere even further.
The end of each night culminates in a themed DJ set from the Hipshaker DJs where you’ll hear top tunes from all time greats like Stevie Wonder, The Jam, The Specials, Kool & the Gang, Blondie, The Cure, Curtis Mayfield, Aretha Franklin, The Stone Roses, Sister Sledge, The Who, Human League, Oasis, James Brown, The Smiths, Bob Marley, Happy Mondays, Chic, Madness … plus many more ... all on chunky black vinyl records of course!
